Dr. Azordegan has been a practicing neurosurgeon for 30 years. After graduating from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Tx. While at Baylor, Dr. Azordegan rotated through MD Anderson Cancer Center and served as chief resident from 1992 to 1993. Dr. Azordegan then returned home to Mississippi, where he joined the department of Neurosurgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as a practicing surgeon and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Azordegan has authored and coauthored several academic articles and has been published in the textbook Controversies in Neurosurgery. He also served as President of the Mississippi State Neurosurgical Society.

In 1995, Dr. Azordegan decided to enter private practice. He performs cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve surgery. In addition to his many years of experience, Dr. Azordegan deeply cares about his patients. In all instances, he prioritizes the wellbeing of the patient. As he frequently says, “I treat my patients how I want to be treated… how I’d want my family to be treated.”
