Eric Amundson, MD

About
A native of southwest Florida, Dr. Amundson has practiced neurosurgery in the Jackson, Mississippi area for over 10 years. While in medical school at Johns Hopkins he chose to specialize in neurosurgery, because it allowed him to combine his interests in the nervous system with the hands-on nature of surgery. He has a particular interest and expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery. These minimal access techniques allow him to relieve pain, weakness and numbness, and/or stabilize the spine, while minimizing disruption of normal surrounding tissues, which helps speed recovery.
