
J. Edwin Dodd, MD
Dr. Edwin Dodd graduated from the University of Mississippi and earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Pain Management at Wake Forest University Medical Center. His fellowship training also included time at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and Flinders Medical Center at the University of South Australia.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Dodd specializes in spinal intervention and pain management, with a particular focus on lower back and neck pain.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the International Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the International Association for the Study of Pain.
Dr. Dodd has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. He is a multiple-time recipient of the prestigious Patients’ Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition from Vitals.com. He has also been named one of America’s Top Physicians by the Consumer Research Council of America and was honored as a 2014 Mississippi Healthcare Hero by the Mississippi Business Journal.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Dodd is passionate about giving back to his community. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Mississippi Museum of Art, Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, Mississippi Children’s Museum, Community Foundation of Greater Jackson, and the St. Andrew’s Parents’ Association, among many others.
